Weekly Summary:

Sunday, Preston and the girls drive back to Taylor, talking about their success in the competition, and looking ahead to the next round. Monday, Preston runs into Dave on his way to the office, and they recap their weekends, Dave talking about playing his guitar after having not played for a long while. On Tuesday, Professor Jones informs the guys that they will have the option of going out on the quad and performing a staged reading of the play they are reading, in place of taking the final. Preston spends a late night in the office Wednesday, still getting acclimated to his job as News Editor. Preston and Emma go to the Directionals concert Thursday night. Preston is tired, not entertained, and grows annoyed with Emma. Preston and Emma aren't getting along throughout Friday. That night, they go to a costume party together, where Emma drinks heavily and gets sick. As her roommate is tending to her, Preston hangs out with Veronica. As it gets late, Preston spies Emma looking for him, then leaving. He and Veronica kiss. Preston wakes up in Veronica's bed. It takes him a minute to remember the night before, and Veronica helps catch him up. He leaves promptly to check up on Emma.
