Preston , his father, Ray and April hang out Sunday, as Ray and April recount their travels into town. Ray and Preston comment on how it's strange that Dad went to pick up Mom from the airport on Monday, and then are surprised when she arrives without Avery. On Christmas day, Mom tells everyone that she is moving back to Shermantown, and back into the house—though she and Preston 's father are not necessarily getting back together. Chang comes out to the guys over a poker game Wednesday. Preston and Matt catch up Thursday while they watch TV. Preston talk to Emma over IM on Friday, before getting a call from Teri. On Saturday, Preston helps Matt shovel his driveway, and Matt asks if it's all right for Julie to come along for New Year's at Teri's friend's house.
