Sunday evening, Preston goes for a walk, thinking about Emma and Veronica, wondering where either relationship could lead him. Mike Weaver visits Preston and Dave Monday night, inviting them to play with him in an upcoming basketball tournament, where Mike is determined to beat his teammates from the varsity squad. Mike leads the guys through a lengthy practice Tuesday, coaching them to better their game. Preston works in The Window office Wednesday night, where the results have come in and Chilling's friend, Tucker, has won the SA presidential election, beating Sal Rodriguez handily. Student Life Editor Teri thanks Preston for the lead on the a cappella story for her section, though she notes that Veronica wasn't very talkative after the competition. Thursday night, it's back to the court where Mike pushes the guys harder in training, and Dave, as a smoker, struggles to keep up. Friday night, Mike maps out plays for the guys over pizza. Saturday is the day of the three-on-three tournament. Mike's girlfriend, Pepper, is in town and she joins Emma and Veronica to watch from the stands. The guys work their way through the tournament and ultimately eek out a victory over Mike's teammates in the finals, after which one of the opposing players invites them all out to a party.
