Preston and Chang talk Sunday morning, Chang saying Claire's a good girl, and they didn't go all the way, Preston saying he and Emma parted ways at her door because he felt like anything they did do would have to mean something. Monday, a woman named Shelly Orton comes to the Window office to tell Preston she thinks her floor is haunted by the ghost of James Kendrick, a guy who committed suicide by jumping off the roof of Bower Hall two years before, after living on the sixth floor, just like her. Preston talks to Sam about Shelly's story on Tuesday, and Sam encourages him to pursue it. Preston and Emma grab coffee after class Wednesday, catching up on each other's lives. Walking to the office Thursday, Teri and Preston come across a couch on the pavement, thrown from a sixth floor window of Bower Hall. Friday, Preston and Teri stake out Shelly's floor and talk, Teri armed with her digital camera all the while. Teri and Preston spend Saturday afternoon on the sixth floor again, before leaving, running into Emma on the way out.
