After staying in Vanderberry, taking pictures and taking notes, Tim Rush, the man holding the building hostage, catches Preston on Sunday. Soon after, another man enters, knocking out Rush to save everyone. Preston can't help thinking Rod Estrada, the man who saved the day, looks familiar on Monday. He discusses the situation with Teri, including the fact that Rush didn't have a real bomb, and had blanks in his gun. Teri is upset with Preston , convinced he stayed in Vanderberry because The Off Beats were there. Tuesday, Preston recaps the hostage situation with Matt over the phone, and discuss why Teri is mad. On Wednesday, Preston and Sam work on layout for the news section, and receive a press release about a ceremony to honor Rod on Friday. In the very early hours of Thursday morning, Preston walks Teri home and he thinks about why they're fighting; Teri apologizes to make up with him. Friday, Preston and Teri attend Rod's recognition ceremony, and Preston sees his blue dragon tattoo en route to recognizing him as the man who put him into a coma in December. Rod speaks out on behalf of Larry Schmidt, the former Window editor, who is petitioning to get back into Taylor . Preston tells his suitemates about Rod Saturday, and considers what he should do with this knowledge.
