Sunday night, Preston as dinner at Jones's house with other students, and in coming back to the house to retrieve his keys, sees Jones and Claire kissing. Preston talks to Dave and Cameron Monday, and they say they're not sure what their future holds. Preston stays late at the library Tuesday, and sees Claire there. Wednesday, Preston and Teri talk on the phone as they each drive home. Preston hangs out with Matt, eating Chinese food Thursday. Friday, Preston has dinner with his father, who talks about scaling back his hours at the office. Preston and Matt go shopping Saturday, and Matt considers buying a necklace for Julie, while Preston spies Valerie across the way.
